Valve, took the gaming community by storm last week with their announcement of the Steam Deck – a handheld gaming machine. It will serve as an affordable and accessible entry to PC gaming for many, and will be a great way for PC gaming enthusiasts to take their games with them on the go.

Steam Deck solves that problem for those of you that have limited time and high mobility. You can take it with you anywhere, playing your favourite game and surfing the internet on the Steam Deck. It will have a dock that allows you to connect to a TV or monitor.

Steam Deck will release in December 2021 in the US, Canada, EU, and UK. It will be released in other regions in 2022. And costs $399 / £349 for the base model which comes with 64GB of eMMC internal storage and a carrying case.

The mid-range option costs $529 / £459 and includes a 256GB NVMe SSD inside for faster storage, a carry case, and an exclusive Steam Community profile bundle. Lastly, the highest tier option costs $649 / £569 and includes 512GB NVMe SSD internal storage, premium anti-glare etching glass, exclusive carrying case, exclusive Steam Community profile bundle, and exclusive virtual keyboard theme.
